Building your Boards with ChairX

Interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence?
Challenging personalities that are articulate and can debate and question?
How will you find suitable candidates? Rolodex? Black Books of the existing Board? Job sites? Networking? Executive Search? ChairX?
Transparency regarding the appointment- are you allowing all to apply or are you personally approaching individuals? What is fair and appropriate?
Compliance? Should you advertise the role in the public domain?
Who will take responsibility for the hire? CEO, HR, Chairman, NXD, SID ,other?
